Bruin seniors gain insight during 2008 Career Day

Mark Shields, the assistant director of student affairs for the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, speaks to seniors during Bartlesville High School's 2008 Career Day Sept. 9 in the Fine Arts Center. Representatives from several different career fields were on hand for the third annual event. All BHS seniors were invited to attend. Students began the day in the Fine Arts Center auditorium, where they listened to a speech by Bartlesville businessman Mark Roberts. They were then able to visit four of the different career areas for discussions of 20 minutes by the business representatives. Nineteen career areas were available in all, including those which dealt with jobs in medicine, banking, architecture, law and graphic design, among other fields.
