Bartlesville High School seniors Kati Stone and Caleb Cragun have been named the Elks Students of the Month for December. Kati is the daughter of Ron and Elaine Stone. She is a Bartlesville Southern Baptist youth group leadership member and is a four-year member of the Bruins' varsity girls basketball team. Kati ran track for three years, played two years of junior varsity volleyball and played one year apiece of fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball as well. She is a four-year member of the National Honor Society as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Kati has volunteered with Mission of Bartlesville and a hospice program, and is a children's camp junior counselor, also. She enjoys singing, writing, attending church and speaking Chinese. Caleb is the son of David and Barbara Cragun. He is an Eagle Scout and plays church league basketball as well. A member of the National Honor Society, he enjoys reading, writing, drawing and magic tricks. Caleb is a former Bruin orchestra member and belongs to the Chinese Club at BHS. Elks Students of the Month – all of whom are seniors – are chosen by a committee of Bartlesville High School teachers. They must be of high moral character, have initiative, show leadership capabilities, be good students, and be active and interested in their school and community. One boy and one girl are selected each month from October through May. |
