Technology Update:
Through the bond issue, Ranch Heights was given $13,500.00 in funds for technology improvements. The PTO is working with Gerard Desmereau to put together a mobile laptop pc lab of 25 units. This could be obtained through a combination of PTO funds and a possible grant from the Wal-mart distribution center. Approximately $35,000.00 is needed for this lab. An exact dollar amount should be available for the next meeting to be approved by the members of the PTO. The goal is to have this lab ordered by June and operational by August.
Mrs. Willcox, the school counselor, will not be here for the state testing. Her father was involved in a fire and was badly burned. Volunteers are still necessary to monitor the testing on Wednesday, April 16th.
A Film Canister fundraiser for Relay for Life will be held through May. Students are encouraged to bring a film canister filled with quarters. A canister will hold $7.00 in quarters.
Mrs. Brown, a third grade teacher, will have surgery on April 22nd and will be out for the rest of the school year. Encouragement is needed.
