To illustrate the concept of wiring series and parallel circuits.

Summary:
Wire a series and parallel circuit. Observe which bulbs burn bright and which burn dim. Interpret differences in voltage and current in the circuits.

Materials (per group):

• 2 'D' cells (or a 6V dry cell)
• 2 switches
• 2 cell holders
• 6-8 insulated wires with clips
• 2 light bulbs and sockets
