Purpose:
Demonstrate the change from potential to kinetic energy.

Summary:
Students will set up an experiment which will allow them to see the change from potential to kinetic energy.

  • one student worksheet

  • one ruler with a center groove (or this can be created by taking two flat rulers and taping them together to create a groove down the center)
  • one 8 oz. paper cup
  • one marble
