Purpose:
Students will develop dissection and identification skills.

Summary:
Students work in groups to dissect a fetal pig. Students will become familiar with the major systems of the fetal pig (corresponding to the same systems in humans).

• fetal pigs
• dissection kits
• dissection trays
• disposable gloves
• paper towels
• goggles
• string

Safety Concerns:
Students must wear goggles and gloves at all times (preserving fluid could be an irritant).
