Purpose: To observe a living invertebrate organism. To identify external structures and observe movement. To observe response to different types of light and various environmental conditions.
Summary: Students will observe a living earthworm. They will identify various external features of the worm, and then test the worm's response to various environmental changes. Students will identify specific behavioral and physical adaptations that allow the earthworm to be successful in its environment.
