• Golf pencils sharpened at both ends
• wire leads with alligator clips at the ends
• petri dish
• tap water
• 9-volt batteries
• hand lenses
• (optional = salt, sugar, thermometer, hot plate, deionized water)

Safety Concerns:
Petri dishes are fragile
