
Pre-K went to the Fire Station and the Library! They got to learn about fire safety and how to check out books!



3rd Grade completed their Project Lead The Way Science of Flight Module last week and so they had to go have some competitions with their airplanes!





1st grade made and tested out their sundials!


The annual Kiwanis Fishing Derby for kids ages 3-12 will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 9 a.m. at Jo Allyn Lowe Park.

Our Virtual kids got to go to Jo Allyn Lowe Park and go fishing! Thank you so much to all the volunteers and helpers to make this such as success for the kids! They even managed to catch quite a few fish! Great job kiddos!

Our 5th Grade Leadership team got to experience some fine dining this week! They learned about etiquette and got to have a lovely 5 course meal!







The Bruins of the Year Celebration will be on Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Doenges Stadium, recognizing the Classified & Sodexo Persons of the Year, Substitute of the Year, Rising Star Teacher, and Teacher of the Year, and more.


Friday morning we got to have a breakfast celebrating our TOY, Rising Star and Classified Person of the year! Come out to Doenges stadium on Thursday and help us celebrate them at 5:30pm! Congratulations ladies!!





4th Grade got to build and test out their own restraint systems! Way to go!

The virtual kiddos got to go to their monthly social at Woolaroc today! They had a blast learning about Frank Phillips and wildlife! They also got to throw axes and shoot a muzzleloader!










Happy Spring Break to all of our Kane Families! There will be no school Friday March 15th or the week of March 18-22. Classes will resume on Monday March 25th!! Have a great break!


BPSD Sodexo Child Nutrition has named its Future Chefs finalists. Each year students are encouraged to submit recipes, based on a given theme, at the district level. Recipes are judged on taste, healthiness, kid friendliness, originality, ease of preparation, plate presentation, and student chef presentations to the judges. The district winner will move onto a regional round.


There will be a DISTRICT JOB FAIR on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the high school cafeteria commons. Enter north of the Freshman Academy entrance, which is north of 18th Street and Shawnee Avenue.

We are loving this nice weather and several classes took advantage! Mrs. Larkin's 5th grade class went outside to do their math today and you can tell the kids love it!
