Operation Eagle (Indian/Native American Education)

The Bartlesville Public School District currently offers two Indian Education programs:

  • Cherokee Nation Johnson O'Malley - provides school supplies, cap and gowns for graduating seniors, and ACT/SAT fees to eligible students. To qualify for the this program, a copy of the student's Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or other documentation of Indian blood must be on file in the Operation Eagle office.

  • Title VI - provides tutoring for Indian students to increase reading and math scores for Indian sub-groups on state assessments to meet the federal mandates. The state curricular objectives are taught using cultural activities of dance, tribal dress, art, history, and tribal government. Title VI services do not require student to have CDIB card, but parent or grandparent of student must have documentation of Indian descent.
