At its February 20 meeting, the Bartlesville Board of Education will consider naming Jessica Birk as the new Assistant Principal at Wayside Elementary School. Birk will be replacing Eliot Smith, who is transitioning to the role of Principal.
Jessica Birk has been with the district since 2014 serving as a Student and Family Support Coordinator, English Language Learners Tutor, and Dean of Instruction. She has been involved with the Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation, League of Women Voters, P.E.O., and the Washington County School Supply Drive. Birk previously worked as a Special Education teacher for Broken Arrow Public Schools and Jenks Public Schools, where she began her career.
Jessica and her husband, Preston, live in Bartlesville with their son, Desmond, who attends Wayside Elementary.
