Bartlesville will serve as host to The Wall That Heals, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, May 6-10 at Lee Lake. The exhibit is presented by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation and hosted locally by Phillips 66 Veteran Employee Resource Group.

The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit travels to communities across the country to honor the more than 58,000 service members whose names are inscribed on the memorial and to provide educational opportunities for local residents.

Area students, including students from Bartlesville Public Schools, will participate in scheduled visits to the exhibit throughout the week. These guided experiences are designed to help students better understand the historical significance of the Vietnam War, impact on American families, and the importance of honoring those who served.

The event reflects strong community partnerships. Local sponsors and supporters include Phillips 66, ConocoPhillips, the City of Bartlesville, Bartlesville Police Department, Bartlesville Public Schools, Kiwanis, First Church, Dewey VFW, The Eagles, CPChem, Bartlesville Fire Department, Blue Star Mothers, Veteran’s Connection, Eldercare, and many additional community organizations.

Community members are invited to attend and are encouraged to volunteer to support the exhibit during its time in Bartlesville. Volunteer opportunities are available at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A45A4A82BA7FCC07-61463436-vietnam. Volunteers will receive a commemorative T-shirt featuring sponsor logos.
