At its next regular meeting, the Bartlesville Public Schools Board of Education will consider the appointment of Staci Bankston as the district’s new Director of Curriculum, effective July 1. Bankston will transition to this role following a six-year tenure as Principal of Wilson Elementary.
Bankston has dedicated 29 years to the field of education, establishing herself as a prominent instructional leader within the district. Her six years at Wilson focused on district-aligned leadership and instructional development. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Principal at Wayside Elementary for a year and spent another as a district-level Teacher Specialist leading the English Language Development program and districtwide professional development initiatives. Before that, Bankston served in Dewey Public Schools as a technology integration coach, gifted and talented coordinator, reading department chair, and 5th-grade team leader, she taught junior high science and was a curriculum alignment coordinator for Barnsdall Public Schools, and she served as an elementary and technology curriculum teacher in Avant.
Bankston holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and maintains certifications as both an elementary and secondary administrator in Oklahoma.
