Bartlesville Public Schools students competed at three levels of science fair competition this spring — the Bartlesville District Science Fair (BDSF), the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair (OSSEF), and the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) — earning category awards, state placements, and international recognition across a wide range of scientific disciplines.
"Our students earned multiple category awards across a wide range of scientific disciplines in both the junior and senior divisions," said Shelley Brown, science teacher at Bartlesville High School. "Most notably, several students qualified for the International Science and Engineering Fair, and 6 of the 10 Oklahoma students attending ISEF this year were from Bartlesville High School."
Science fair participation gives students hands-on research experience and builds skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, data analysis, and communication — skills that extend well beyond the classroom and into everyday life.

International Science and Engineering Fair
Three Bartlesville students advanced as ISEF finalists from the district fair: Jonathan Lai, Carson Lee, Caylen Lee, and Mathimalar Jayaprasad. Two additional students — Ragavarsha Karuppan Chetty and Isabel Thoreson — qualified through OSSEF.
At ISEF, Mathimalar Jayaprasad earned 4th place in Earth and Environmental Sciences.

Congratulations to all students who participated, and thank you to the teachers, families, and staff who supported them throughout the process.
