Parents in Bartlesville often hear their students talking about “JiJi” the infamous penguin. He is the mascot for ST Math, a digital learning program brought to area schools by Phillips 66 through a partnership with the MIND Research Institute

ST Math leverages the brain’s innate spatial-temporal reasoning ability to solve mathematical problems. Students can learn state math standards through more than 35,000 interactive puzzles with learning objectives that target key grade-level concepts and skills.

Jane Phillips Elementary in Bartlesville has built a culture around ST Math, and they believe the program has resulted in their significantly increased state math scores.

“ST Math is a fabulous program for ALL learners. My pre-K students love it and strive to do their best every day. It’s a celebration every time they ‘get to the mountain!’ said teacher Jeannine Lee. “I love that it builds a wonderful foundation for math skills and problem-solving.”

Phillips 66 has funded ST Math for 124 schools in asset locations across the country. This school year, the program reached 52,000 students.
