VEX

Central Middle School seventh graders Dillon Mehta and Adit Paul recently won awards with their VEX Robotics team. The students were in Ms. Williams' PLTW Gateway Automation & Robotics and Science of Tech courses last year where the team won two Sportsmanship awards in VEX Robotic tournaments and made it to multiple final rounds.

In January, the team participated in a VEX Robotics tournament. They made it to the semifinals and received the Judges Award, which is presented to the team that is the most deserving of special recognition.

Recently, the team designed and donated ear savers to Bartlesville’s Elder Care center for the Google Sponsored Community award online challenge, hosted by the REC Foundation and VEX robotics. They were awarded the Bartlesville Community Award for their work. Their project is featured in the February issue of Bartlesville Monthly magazine.
